General Information for booking private parties and functions at the Fox & Hound.
• A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required at the time of the booking.
• All food & beverage is subject to 6.25% Massachusetts tax and .75% Quincy meals tax and 20% gratuity for the staff.
• To avoid any confusion, we can only take direction from one person-the person who is under contract and responsible for payment. If there is going to be a different person arriving onsite the day of the event, we must know that contact person’s name in advance of the event.
• All event spaces have minimums during peak times. Minimums are as follows: Function Room (Den) has a minimum of 40 guests/maximum of 60 guests. The Tavern has a minimum of 40 guests/maximum of 60 guests. The Dining Room can be used for private events at certain times, as well. This space would require a minimum of 30 guests to have it exclusively. In the event of a large group, a buyout of the restaurant is possible with certain food & beverage minimums in place. These food and beverage minimums would vary depending on the day/time of the event.
• Please confirm your final count & menu with the banquet office 7 days in advance. This will be your minimum guarantee. A guest count will also be taken on the day of event, and you will be charged for any guests not included in your guarantee.
• To decorate, hosts are allowed into their reserved event space one prior to the function start time. Functions are for four hours--one hour for set up & three hours for the event. Additional function time is $100.00 per hour
• Decorations cannot be affixed to any painted or finished surface of the room with tape, thumb tacks, nails, screws or any type of adhesive. We ask that you do not use confetti-filled balloons or confetti of any kind for any functions or there will be a $100.00 cleaning fee assessed
• If you bring balloons and/or a balloon arch for your event, you must take them with you when you leave. They cannot be popped onsite for clean-up reasons. if the above rules are not followed, you will be assessed a cleaning fee.
• If you want to use candles, we recommend that you use battery operated tealights or votives. If you want your own candle lit centerpieces, you will need to obtain a permit from the Quincy Fire Department and bring permit to us.
• Per health department order, consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, shellfish or eggs may increase your risk of food borne illness, especially if you have certain medical conditions. Some of our menu items contain nuts.
• Due to local health codes, remaining buffet food cannot be taken from the restaurant.
